Sun King Home 500X — Solar Generator / Home Power System
Overview
The Sun King Home 500X is a compact, all-in-one solar home system designed to bring reliable lighting and power to households without consistent grid access. It combines lighting, phone charging, a security lamp, and a built-in energy storage unit to meet essential daily power needs.
主要特点
Lighting
Includes 4 tube lights, each rated at 200 lumens, giving up to 900 lumens total brightness.
Tube lights have three brightness modes for different use-cases (reading, ambient light, low-power)
Motion-sensing security lamp (100 lumens) lights up when movement is detected, adding safety and convenience.
Battery & Runtime
Built with a 141 Wh lithium-ion NMC battery.
Offers up to 19 hours of runtime on low-power lighting mode.
Smart battery management: switches to a low-power “reserve” mode when running low to extend usage by roughly 5 extra hours.
太阳能板
Comes with a 50 W polycrystalline solar panel (16 V) and a 6 m cable for flexible placement.
Designed for reliable charging even in off-grid or solar-dependent homes.
Power Output & Ports
2 × 5 V / 1.8 A USB ports for charging mobile devices.
4 × 12 V ports for DC appliances — one port is specially optimized for Sun King DC devices (like their TVs).
Status indicators: digital LED display shows battery level and charging status.
Durability & Design
Enclosure made from rugged ABS plastic, built for durability (though recommended for indoor use).
Compact and lightweight enough to be mounted or placed conveniently in a room.
Security & Financing
Supports PAYG (Pay-As-You-Go) activation through a keypad or GSM, using Sun King Link API — great for flexible financing.
Backed by a 2-year warranty on many distributors.
Performance & Use Cases
Ideal for households needing basic lighting, phone charging, and maybe a small appliance like a fan or a small TV.
Especially useful in off-grid or unreliable-grid environments: the system provides dependable light through the night and stores energy during the day.
With its motion-sensor lamp, it’s good for security lighting in corridors or doorways.
Because of its USB and 12 V outputs, it can also support phones, radios, and some DC appliances.
Benefits
1. Energy Independence: Reduces reliance on kerosene lamps or grid when unreliable.
2. Safety: Motion sensor light adds security; no dangerous fuel needed.
3. Cost-Effective: Small but effective system — cheaper than full inverters + big battery setups.
4. Flexible Payment: Pay-As-You-Go option means you can install now and pay over time.
5. Long Lifecycle: With proper use, the lithium-ion battery offers a good lifesp
