Ecolion 7.68kWh Solar Lithium Battery
Features & Benefits
High Energy Capacity: 7.68kWh makes it ideal for whole-home backup, not just lights + TV. Can run bigger loads than 4kWh/5kWh units.
Long Lifespan: 4000+ cycles at 80% DoD. That’s ∼11 years if cycled daily. Lead-acid gives 300-500 cycles.
Safety: LiFePO₄ chemistry is the safest lithium type. Stable, no thermal runaway.
Deep Discharge: Use 80-100% of capacity without killing battery life. Lead-acid limited to 50% DoD.
Fast Charge/Discharge: LiFePO₄ accepts higher charge current than lead-acid. Less wait time for solar charging.
Maintenance-Free: No watering, no acid fumes, no corrosion. Install and forget.
Off-Grid + Hybrid Ready: Works with grid-tied and off-grid systems. Seamless integration with existing
Installation & Compatibility
Voltage match: 25.6V = 24V system. Use with 24V inverter/charge controller only.
Parallel expansion: Most Ecolion LiFePO₄ batteries can be paralleled to increase capacity. 2 units = 15.36kWh.
Communication: Built-in BMS supports inverter communication for SOC, voltage, temp monitoring. Compatible with Growatt, Victron, Sol-Ark, etc.
Mounting: Usually rack-mount or wall-mount metal casing. Needs good ventilation, 15°C-35°C optimal.
Why LiFePO₄ vs Lead-Acid/Tubular
| | **Ecolion LiFePO₄ 7.68kWh** | **Tubular Lead-Acid 7.68kWh** |
Weight ; 60-70kg for 25.6V 300Ah | ~180-200kg for same energy
Maintenance ; Water top-up every 2-3 months |
Lifespan ; 10+ years | 3-4 years
Bottom line: The Ecolion 7.68kWh is for people who want to run AC, fridge, freezer + basic loads overnight on solar without changing batteries every 3 years. If you’re upgrading from tubular batteries, this cuts maintenance to zero and doubles lifespan.
