*2. Features & Benefits*
1. *48V System*: Industry standard for solar. Lower current = 3.5kW @48V = 73A vs 292A @12V. Less cable loss, less heat.
2. *High PV Voltage 450Voc*: MPPT can take many panels in series. Fewer combiner boxes, less wiring loss.
3. *Pure Sine Wave*: Clean power for AC, fridge, washing machine, microwave, PC. No damage to electronics.
4. *3.5kW Real Power*: Can run 1.5HP AC + fridge + freezer + TV + lights together. Surge 7kW starts AC compressor easily.
5. *100A MPPT*: Charges big lithium batteries fast. 48V 100A = 4.8kW solar charging.
6. *Smart Modes*: SBU, SUB, UTI priority modes. Set to maximize solar use and reduce NEPA bill.
7. *Lithium BMS Comms*: RS485/CAN talks to Ecolion, Ritar, Felicity 48V batteries for accurate SOC + cell protection.
8. *Parallel Expansion*: Most 3.5kW SMK can parallel 6 units = 21kW for shops/offices with heavy load.
*3. What 3.5kW Can Power*
Keep continuous load under 2.8kW for safety. Surge handles motor starts.
*Can run together:*
– 1.5HP AC 1.1kW + 1HP AC 800W + fridge 150W + freezer 200W + TV + lights = ∼2.5kW
– Washing machine 500W + microwave 800W + fridge + freezer + lights = ∼2.3kW
– 1HP water pump 800W + 1.5HP AC + other loads = ∼2.2kW
– Office: 6 PCs 1.2kW + 2HP AC 1.5kW + printer = ∼2.9kW → borderline but surge handles it
*Cannot run:* 3HP AC, electric cooker 4kW, 2 water heaters at once.
*4. Solar + Battery Sizing for Abuja*
To run AC + fridge 24hrs:
1. *Battery*: 48V 200Ah tubular = 9.6kWh, or 48V 100Ah LiFePO₄ = 4.8kWh. Best: 48V 300Ah LiFePO₄ = 16kWh Ecolion. Gives 12-14kWh usable.
2. *Solar Panels*: 10-12 × 300W = 3kW – 3.6kW total. MPPT 100A @48V can take 4800W. Gives 15-18kWh/day.
3. *Example Setup*: 3.5kW SMK + 48V 300Ah lithium + 12×300W panels → Run 2 ACs 8hrs + fridge/freezer 24hrs on solar.
*5. Installation Tips*
1. *Cable size*: 3.5kW @48V = 73A. Use 35mm² or 50mm² battery cable + 100A DC breaker.
2. *Panel wiring*: For 450Voc MPPT, wire 8-10 panels in series per string. Must stay under 450Voc at cold morning.
3. *Battery bank*: 48V = 4×12V batteries. Use same brand/age for tubular. For lithium, one 48V unit is better than 4×12V.
4. *Earthing*: Proper AC + DC earthing reduces surge damage during rain/lightning.
*6. Price + Best Use – Nigeria*
SMKSolar 3.5kW 48V hybrid MPPT in Abuja/Lagos: *₦380k – ₦520k* depending on MPPT rating, warranty, and stock.
*Best for*: 3-4 bedroom duplex, office, restaurant, pharmacy, school. Anyone who needs AC + fridge + freezer overnight without NEPA.
*Bottom line*: SMKSolar 3.5kW 48V is the “all-in-one” for Nigerian homes upgrading from 24V. High PV voltage means less panel wiring, 3.5kW handles real loads, and 48V pairs perfectly with 16kWh lithium batteries. If you’re tired of load shedding, this + 16kWh lithium + 3.5kW solar = true energy independence.
